Drill hole to the correct diameter and depth as specified in the tables.

Tap a thread to the correct depth & fit classification as specified in the tables, using any one of a variety of wire insert taps.

|
Gauge the tapped hole using a 'go'/'not go' wire insert thread plug gauge.
|

| 4. |
|
Install the insert to the desired depth using any one of a variety of manual or automatic inserting tools.
|

| 5. |
|
After installation remove the driving tang from the insert using the correct size tang break punch. A sharp hammer blow will shear the tang at the break off notch with out disturbing the remainder of the insert.

| 6. |
|
Gauge the fitted insert using a standard 'go'/'not go' thread plug gauge.
