Inserts
WTI Inserts are available in all thread forms and sizes,
special diameters and lengths are available on request.
WTI inserts are commanly produced in 304 stainless steel
but other materials are available such as 316 Stainless
and Phosphor Bronze.

Thread Repair Kits
WTI thread repair kits are generally available from stock
in a variety of styles, thread forms and sizes.
All WTI thread repair kits are supplied in high quality
robust hinged boxes and include close tolerance high speed
steel wire insert taps.
They are normally supplied with free running inserts,
however, screw locking types can be supplied if required.

Wire Insert Taps
WTI Nonpareil now manufacture our own taps at our plant in
Haverhill, Suffolk. WTI Nonpareil was purchased by WTI
Fasteners in October 2007.

Tang Break Punches
Efficient tang break-off is dependant upon several
conditions, the correct diameter tool being the most
obvious factor. However sufficient thread must exist in
the tapped hole to provide the necessary support at the
tang elbow and adequate clearance beyond the insert must
be present to allow for tang deflection.
Assuming those conditions apply, de-tanging is a very
simple operation to perform. The specified limits for
drilling and tapping lengths in tabulated form, have been
calculated to ensure such conditions.
