|
Threaded mandrel screwdrivers are the simplest type of
inserting tool to use. Because they have pitch control it
is virtually impossible to cross thread or mis-pitch an
insert using this type of tool, even with extra fine
threads.

Plain Mandrel Prewind Type |
|
The plain mandrel prewind tool is the most commonly used
wire insert installation tool. Suitable for both free
running and screw locking types of any manufacture, it is
better suited to coarse pitch inserts. However, with
careful application this design will also accommodate fine
pitch inserts.
