Starting from humble beginnings in a builder’s barn office, owner-directors Jo, Andy, and Wayne decided to combine their industry knowledge and experience to establish WTI Fasteners in 1989, an independent British company specialising in the manufacture of helically-coiled wire thread inserts. Early success meant moving to a larger premises was soon necessary, and ever since then the company has continued to grow by designing innovative new machinery to improve on our product range, and investing in our staff to build an experienced team of specialists in the design, manufacture, and distribution of wire thread inserts.

With Wayne having contributed to the development of industry standards BS7751 and BS7752, the quality of our products is at the heart of our business, which is why we were delighted to receive BSI approval in 1994 in recognition of our dedication to quality. As a result of our strict quality management system we also gained AS9100 accreditation in 2010, which is an important standard for the aerospace industry, a sector we serve alongside other industries such as automotive, rail, and precision castings.

Now operating out of a dedicated 16,500ft2 facility based in the heart of the UK, we are a leading global figure in the wire insert industry, and it is our goal to provide the best quality products with the best service to every customer, no matter the industry or how big or small the client.

We supply wire inserts and associated tooling to customers worldwide, manufacturing wire thread inserts in an unbeatable range of sizes and keeping a huge inventory on-site to keep lead times low, with 97% of UK orders being despatched the same day they’re placed.

We adopt a flexible, solutions-based approach to meet customers’ diverse needs, offering a range of tailored services and operating a no minimums policy on standard stock items, so you can order exactly what you need to get the job done – whether it’s 1 insert, 10,000, or 1 million!
