We supply wire insert gauges that are designed to check the accuracy of the internal thread of a tapped hole, an important though often overlooked step in the insert installation process. It is vital to check the accuracy of the internal thread before installing any wire inserts, as the finished thread is highly dependent on the accuracy of the tapped hole. If the tapped hole gauges correctly, a rightly installed and seated wire insert will also gauge correctly.

Our double-ended GO/NO-GO wire thread insert gauges conform to all national and international thread specifications, and can be supplied with a UKAS certificate if required. They are available in Metric (4H and 5H class of fit) and Unified (2B and 3B class of fit), as well as some British Standard sizes.
