KATO® Tangless®

Tangless® inserts are bi-directional wire thread inserts without a tang. Instead of the tang, they have a notch at both ends of the insert, meaning they do not need to be oriented during the installation process. These inserts are especially useful for blind holes and applications where tang removal is critical to prevent foreign object debris, such as in the electronics industry.

As an authorised distributor of KATO® Tangless® products, we currently supply Tangless® inserts in free running and screw locking type in Metric, UNF, and UNC threads, in 1D, 1.5D, and 2D lengths. We also supply hand and power tooling to suit, as well as insert removal tools and spare tool pawls.
